Halleck Wilfred “Cappy” Adkins, 82, of Salt Rock, WV, passed away March 22, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Roger Ross. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. He was born November 28, 1941 in Myra, WV, a son of the late Halleck Walton and Edith Virginia Abshire Adkins. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudette Sue Adkins and his daughter, Angela Adkins. He is survived by his daughter, Violet Lee Adkins Baker (Brian) of Whitehouse, TX; son, Timothy Wayne Adkins of Salt Rock, WV; sisters, Melba Thompson of Macon, NC and Lois June Morrison of Barboursville; brother, Gary Adkins of Branchland; companion of 22 years, Donna Holley, and her daughter, Michelle Simmons.
