 Linda Sue Reid, 78, of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024. She was born May 20, 1945 in Beckley, a daughter of the late James and Rosemary Canterbury Underwood. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Lee Reid. Linda is survived by her sister-in-law, Donna (Rich) Oderwald of Blacksburg, Va; nephew, Ben (Christine Gibson) Oderwald; niece, Lizzie (David) Roettger; great nieces and nephews, Eleanor, Desmond, Celia Oderwald and Hazel Roettger; and a host of loving friends. Linda was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years, spent several years as a reading specialist and was past president of the WV Reading Association. She was also a member of Barboursville First United Methodist Church. At her request, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702. It is with complete sadness to hear of the loss of Linda Reid. She was a lively sweet friend that was more like family. Heaven gained an angel and the world lost a great person. We love you and will miss you! Honored to have called you a friend. Rest in peace.
