Louella Francis Hughes, 91, of Milton, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born August 3, 1932 in Glenwood, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas and Rachel Venoy Spurlock. She is also preceded by her first husband, Avondale Bryan and by her second husband, Hubert “Dick” Hughes. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Mae McComas, Virginia Holland, Ramona Blake, Alfred Spurlock and Jack Spurlock and by one grandson, Jamie Bryan. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Hensley (Larry); two sons, Danny Bryan (Shelia) and Kevin Hughes (Lorri); five grandchildren, Lauren Hensley, Bradley Hensley (Katie), Corey Bryan (Tiffany), Tyler Hughes (Haley) and Sarah Hunt (Travis); seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Aaron Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in Bias Chapel Cemetery, Milton. Friends may visit from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bias Chapel Church, Milton.
