1946 - 2025
Gregory Alan Adkins, son of the late Elbert C. Adkins and Dr. Joan F. Adkins, passed away January 30, 2025 at the age of 78. Greg, a graduate of Barboursville H.S. and Marshall University, was an accomplished and well-respected composer/musician best known in the local Huntington area for playing lead guitar, performing varied styles of music in groups including The Dynamiks and A.M. Spoon. Greg had also played viola as a former member of the Huntington Chamber Orchestra. Greg's love for classical music came through in his many compositions. He lived a simple, solitary life and is survived by his sisters, Tana P. Adkins and Kimberly J. Barlett, brother-in-law Darryl G. Barlett and niece Kristen P. Lynn.
