1920 - 2004
Mrs. Irene Brown Traylor, age 83, of 211 Edwards St., Bremen passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004. Mrs. Traylor was born in Choctaw County, Oklahoma on December 31, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Henry H. Brown and the late Mrs. Minnie Allen Brown. Mrs. Traylor was retired after many years with Garrett Drug Company in Bremen. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lawrence B. "Doc" Traylor; one son, Mr. Carl Lewis Henderson; and one brother, Mr. Calvin C. Brown.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace (Renie Henderson) Boling of Marietta; one sister, Mrs. Mary Martin of San Francisco, CA; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnnie Carden, Rev. Chris Cook, and Rev. Howard Lee officiating. Music will be rendered by Mr. Randy Stamps. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ricky McCarty, Tom McCarty, Kevin Brown, Mike Murphy, Mike Cook, Ricky Raburn, and Jimmy Hurston. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Williams, Zane Bonnr, and Jim Brewer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cross Pointe Baptist Church, P.O. Box 117, Bremen, GA 30110; or to Wellstar Community Hospice/Tranquility, 680 Church St., Ste. 100, Marietta, GA 30060.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
