Mrs. Elsie Elizabeth Tinsley Weaver, age 87, of 182 Carrollton St., Buchanan passed away Sunday, September 12, 2004. Mrs. Weaver was born in Cherokee County, Georgia on July 18, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Lee Tinsley and the late Mrs. Ona Lee Kelly. Mrs. Weaver was retired from the Arrow Shirt Company. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Roy R. Weaver; sister, Mrs. Willie Crawford Barry; and brother, Mr. Robert L. Tinsley, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Jackie Flippo of Carrollton; two sons, Mr. Robert Weaver of Bremen, and Mr. Terry Weaver of Calhoun; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Smith of Buchanan; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Danny Mason officiating. Music will be rendered by Mr. Harold McWhorter. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Robert Weaver, Jr., Anthony Woods, Roy Steele, Ted Weaver, John Gaines, and Randolph Rowell.
Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
