Mrs. Grace Messer Mashburn, age 81. of 144 Depot St., Buchanan passed away Monday, November 8, 2004. Mrs. Mashburn was born in Fannin County, Georgia on July 27, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Richard Messer and the late Mrs. Kitty Stanley Messer. Mrs. Mashburn was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Doyle Masburn; a son, Mr. Jonathan Doyle Mashburn; and a sister, Gertrude Page.
Survivors include two daughters Pat Burke of Tallapoosa and Nancy Stone of Bremen; two sons, Jeremy Todd Mashburn of Buchanan and Jacob Todd Mashburn of Lackawanna, NY; one daughter-in-law, Deborah Mashburn of Tallapoosa; and a number of grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by the Walker Family. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Bruno Cahenzli, David Whitfield, Jeremy Mashburn, Abraham Lands, Tony Stone, and Willie Lee Brown.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
