Mrs. Guyola Payton Deering, age 83, Buchanan passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005. Mrs. Deering was born in Haralson County on February 19, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Lonnie Payton and the late Mrs. Lennie Ezzell Payton. Mrs. Deering was a retired nurse. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Deering and David Deering; three sisters, Bib Chandler, Evelyn Wood, and Lucille McGee; six brothers, Sammy Payton, J.C. Payton, Bunt Payton, Beady Payton, Bud Payton, and Terrell Payton.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Wills of Cedartown and Gayle Deering of Buchanan; two sons, Danny Ray Deering of Buchanan and Samuel Frank Deering of Wichita, KS; sixteen grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren great great grandchildren, and other relatives.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday, April 1, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Brother William Bassett officiating. Music will be rendered by Rita Brown.
