Marvin Hunt, 53, Vinton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 15, 2005 He was born Sept. 24, 1951, in Pikeville, Ky., son of the late Earnest Hunt and the late Bonnie “Hunt” Kiser. He is loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Kathleen Sloan Hunt, whom he married on February 13, 1969.
Also surviving are three children:
Ermeleen (Larry) St John, Vinton, Ohio
Tammy (Herb) Pearson, Vinton, Ohio
Marvin Christopher (Elizabeth) Hunt, Vinton, Ohio
Four grandsons:
Ryan and Derek St. John
Bryan and Zachery Hunt.
One sister:
Marlene H. Clark, Louisville, Ky
One brother:
Ermal Hunt, Indian Mills, New Jersey and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding him in death was a sister, Charlene Hunt.
Marvin was active in the Sons of American Legion, Post 27, Gallipolis, for more than fifteen years. He served as Commander for many years and also he served as a District Officer and a State Officer.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in the Vinton Baptist Church, 11818 State Route 160, Vinton, with Rev. David Varney and Rev. Chester Hess officiating.
Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St., Vinton, on Thursday, 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Burial will be in the Ward Family Cemetery, Alice Rd., Ewington, Ohio
