Edna Chasteen Pinnell, 86, Weirton, WV., and formerly of Middleport and Vinton, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 28, 2005, in the Brightwood Care Center, Follansbee, WV.
She was born May 30, 1918, in Corbin, WV., daughter of the late Noah and Mattie Gadd Chasteen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holard Pinnell, January 10, 1994; a daughter, Brenda Pinnell; a great granddaughter; four brothers and two sisters.
Edna is survived by five children: Howard E. Pinnell, Weirton, WV; Jimmy L. Pinnell, Toronto, Ohio; Robert A. (Vickie) Pinnell, Toronto, Ohio; Shirley Roush, Wichita, Kansas; Linda E. (Tom) McCarthy, Havelock, NC. Twenty-one grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and one sister: Dolores Straka, Toronto, OH. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 128, Middleport.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, with Pastor Jim Keesee officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Fuenral Home, Vinton, on Wednesday, 4:00-7:00 P.M.
