Herbert Thurston Wyrick, 74, Vinton, Ohio, passed away in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Wednesday, April 6, 2005. He was born August 17, 1930, in Loudon County, Tennessee, son of the late Virgil Eli Wyrick and Ollie Kyle Wyrick.
He retired from Delco Moraine, Dayton, on February 28, 1983, following thirty one years of service and he was a member of UAW 696.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six and a half years, Alice Rowan Wyrick and two children: Brad (Betsy) Wyrick, Knoxville, TN and Sharon (Lanny) Ledbetter, Xenia, OH; ten grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
One brother and two sisters: Ray (Georgia) Wyrick, Sweetwater, TN; Faye (Varnell) Whited, Sweetwater, TN; Hazel (Samuel) Henninger, Friendsville, TN.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Lee Neuhard; and two sisters: Bernice Miller and Wanda Giles.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2005, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Rev. Marvin Sallee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society, 138 Marietta Rd., Suite D, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
