Mr. Charles Oscar Addison, age 70, of Felton passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005. Mr. Addison was born in Haralson County on May 23, 1934. He was the son of the late Benjamin David Addison and the late Mattie Irene Murphy Addison. Mr. Addison was a veteran of the United States Army and was a cattle farmer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ben Addison.
Survivors include his wife, June Statham Addison of Felton; two sons, David Addison of Felton and Randy Addison of Felton; two sisters, Ann Wood of Rome and Faye Pope of Buchanan; three brothers, Murphy Addison of Birmingham, AL, James Addison of Cedartown, and Bobby Addison of Felton; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from the Felton Methodist Church with Rev. Ricky Caldwell and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Felton Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Carey Statham, Jay Addison, Davey Addison, Paul Statham, Mike Addison, Mark Addison, Barry Wood, and Chris Folds.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
