Earl McDonald, 71, Vinton, Ohio, passed away in Arbors of Marietta, Thursday, May 26, 2005. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, Korean War and a member of the Meigs DAV Post 53; a retired General Foreman; Republic Steel and Republic LTV, Cleveland, retiring in 1985; and a member of the Skyline Lanes Bowling League.
Earl was born October 18, 1933, at Logan, WV, son of the late Alvin Wayne McDonald and Ollie Emmy Hale. He married Mary Ann Lambert on July 10, 1954, in Gallipolis, and she survives with two sons and a daughter: Earl McDonald Jr., Vinton, Ohio; Tom Miles (Dawn) McDonald, Vinton, Ohio; Michelle Ann McDonald, Vinton, Ohio. Daughter in law: Dawn McDonald, Ashtabula, Ohio; Seven Grandchildren: Ashley, Andrew, Adam, Tyler, Ryan, Devin, and Seth; Three brothers and sisters: Carl (Frances) McDonald, Hinckley, Ohio; Harry (Irene) McDonald, Euclid, Ohio; Richard (Debbie) McDonald, Lexington, Alabama; Juanita Steele, Euclid, Ohio; Josephine Morgan, Mentor, Ohio; Mary Muba, Uniontown, PA. He was preceded in death by two children: James McDonald, 1998; Gail McDonald, 2000; two brothers: Raymond and Johnny McDonald.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, 208 Main St., Vinton, with Evangelists Jim Duty, Jason Ridgeway and Jim Farley officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park with Military Grave Side Rites to be conducted by the Meigs DAV Post 53.
