Mrs. Margaret Keaton Price, age 89, of Temple passed away Thursday, June 30, 2005. Mrs. Price was born in Douglas County on March 23, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Keaton and the late Fannie Hughes Keaton. Mrs. Price was a retired seamstress. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Price; and four sisters, Dahalia Thrasher, Minnie Morgan, Lena Elliott, and Mandy Keaton.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosa and Pat Parmentier of Temple and Mary and Richard Clay of Temple; two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Rachel Price of Temple and Howard and Janice Price of Temple; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 3, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. from District Line United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Clary, Dr. Terrell McBrayer, and Rev. Wesley Forrister officiating. Music will be rendered by Harold McWhorter and Larry and Faye Keaton. Interment will follow in the District Line United Methodist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Joshua Clay, Scott Price, Kelly Smith, Sydney Garner, Brett Argo, Jimmy Watson, and Matt Williams.
