Mrs. Mary Lou Garner Eaves, age 75, of 51 Second Ave., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Mrs. Garner was born in Haralson County on February 10, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Toy Russell Garner and the late Mary Josephine Bishop Garner. Mrs. Garner was a retired from the Arrow Shirt Co. in Buchanan.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Phil Eaves of Buchanan; one daughter, Linda Carter of Bremen; two sons, Rev. Jerald Eaves of Buchanan and Rev. Ricky Eaves of Bremen; five brothers, Edward Garner of Buchanan, Billy Garner of Villa Rica, Bobby Garner of Buchanan, Clyde Garner of Tallapoosa and Johnny Garner of Woodstock; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Jerald Eaves and Rev. Ricky Eaves officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Kenneth Eaves, Bryan Eaves, Caleb Eaves, Kyle Carter, Tyler Carter, and Jeff Layton.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
