Mr. Harlan Rafford Tucker, age 88 of 114 Kimball Dr., Buchanan passed away Sunday, September 18, 2005. Mr. Tucker was born in Seminole County, Oklahoma on May 5, 1916. He was the son of the late Rafford Tucker and the late Ethel Garner Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired truck driver. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother,
Clarence Tucker.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Gilbert Tucker of Buchanan; three daughters, Jayne Gibson of Cleveland, TN, Jeanie Bates of Clanton, AL and Janet “Tudie” Hass of Altamonte Springs, FL; one son, Harlan Ray “Tuck” Tucker of Ooltewah, TN; one sister, Lillian Simpson of Jefferson, TX; three brothers, Clyde Tucker of St. Helena, CA, Warren Tucker of Jefferson, TX and Alford Tucker of Jefferson, TX; one step-daughter, Linda Robinson of Muscadine, AL; five step-sons, James Truett of Buchanan, Gene Truett of Bremen, Tex Truett of Bremen, Rex Truett of Temple and Johnny Ray Truett of Bremen; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sixteen step-grandchildren; twenty step-great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Private interment will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery.
