Mr. Lawrence Jones Vickers, age 87 of 756 Corinth-Poseyville Road, Bremen, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005. Mr. Vickers was born in Fayette County, West Virginia on April 27, 1918. He was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Vickers and the late Eva Mae Jones Vickers. Mr. Vickers was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp and was a retired Chemical Technician.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Elliott Vickers of Bremen; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Rudy Quesada of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Wendy Vickers of Bremen; seven grandchildren, John and Lara Quesada of Bremen, Michael and Salina Quesada of Bremen, Kelli and Eddie Thomas of Bremen, Jennifer and Ross Reddish of Bremen, Michelle and Jody Veitch of Villa Rica, Michael Vickers of Seattle, WA, Erin and P.J. Stepp of Bremen; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon Quesada of Bremen, Cole Quesada of Bremen, Sierra Reed of Carrollton, Trey Thomas of Bremen, Jenna Reddish of Bremen, Jacee Quesada of Bremen, Micaela Quesada of Bremen, Drake Stepp of Bremen, Haley Reddish of Bremen and expected soon, Lauren Veitch of Villa Rica.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Mr. Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Bremen. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; John Quesada, Mike Quesada, Michael Vickers, Ross Reddish, P.J. Stepp and Jody Veitch. Flag ceremonies will be conducted by Haralson County Veterans Association.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Tanner Hospice Care, Carrollton.
Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
