Mr. Charlie Willard “C.W.” White, age 85, of 843 Frances White Rd., Buchanan passed away Friday, January 6, 2006. Mr. White was born in Haralson County on March 24, 1920. He was the son of the late George Bates and the late Beulah White Bates. Mr. White was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and was retired from the Dekalb County Water Authority where he was a supervisor in the meter shop. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wyolene Emory White; one son, Wendell White; and one brother, Lowell Waddell.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jim Reynolds of Buchanan; one sister, Frances Randles of Carrollton; two brothers, Fred Waddell of Dallas and Thomas Waddell of Thomasville, NC; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wendell Rush and Rev. Horace Wilson officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wayne Wood, Floyd Morris, Buddy Emory, Dustin White, Jack Briscoe, and Brett Gerstmyer.
