Dudley W. Eggleton, 67, of Ashville, formerly of Bidwell, passed away at the Kobacker House in Columbus on Monday, March 13, 2006.
He was born Feb. 26, 1939, in Bladen, son of the late Woodrow Wilson Eggleton and Marcella Green Eggleton. he was a 1958 graduate of North Gallia High School and formerly attended the Gallipolis Church of Christ.
He is survived by two children: Scott (Amy) Eggleton, of Salisbury, N.C., and Karen Fisher, of Ashville; three granddaughters, Lindsay D., Sayra M. and Megan L. Fisher, of Ashville; two brothers, Ira E. (Joan) Eggleton, of Bidwell, and John Eggleton, of Lebanon; four sisters, Judy (John) Haffelt, of Gallipolis, Jane (David) Setliff, of Beckley, W.Va., Sara Bailey, Little Hocking, and Teresa (Greg) Eliason, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: William “Tom” Eggleton, Richard Eggleton and Carl Eggleton.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 17, 2006, at 1 p.m. at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Pastor Jason Bridgeway officiating. Friends may call Thursday, March 16, 2006, from 5 to 8 p.m. at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton.
