Carribel Stevens Dingess, 83, of Bidwell, Ohio, (Porter Community), passed away in Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis on Saturday, March 25, 2006.
She was a lifelong resident of Gallia County and attended the Bidwell Porter School. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Porter.
Carribel was born Feb. 7, 1922, in Harrisburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Harrison Morten and Della Kraus Stevens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dingess; two brothers, Eugene and Wyman Stevens; one brother-in-law, Don Grant; and one sister-in-law, Mildred Stevens.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Grant of St. Paris, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Michael Grant of Springfield., Ohio.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, 208 Main St., Vinton, with the Rev. Sherron Courneen officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Rio Grande. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.
