Darleigh Dair Shue, 76, of Gallipolis, passed away in Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, W.Va., on Wednesday, April 5, 2006.
A retired truck driver and welder, he was born March 7, 1930, in Pocahontas County, W.Va., son of the late Emery Everett Shue and Pearl Williams Shue.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadine Carroll Shue; two sons and three daughters, Jimmy (Mary) Shue of Red Line, Pa., Ben Shue of Hillsboro, W.Va., Brenda Nauman of Forest City, N.C., Elaine McCoy of Marlinton, W.Va., and Rose Marie (Homer) Tinney of Elkins, W.Va.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and five sisters, Anna Atkins of Chesterfield, Va., Irene Shorter of Augusta, Ga., Wynona McNeal of Augusta, Ga., Berlene Long of Augusta, Ga., and Vivian Gibson of Lewisburg, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Westley Allen Shue and Warren Dair Shue; and three sisters.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home at Vinton, with the Rev. Heath Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.
