Robert Davis Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1934 - 2006 Robert Earl Davis 71, Gallipolis, and a former resident of Vinton, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, following an extended illness. He was born on December 12, 1934 to the late Earl Gay Davis and Julia Elizabeth Harris in Montcoal, WV. A retired coal miner, he also retired from AEP in 1990, and was a member of United Mine Workers of America.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozella Davis April 28, 1985; daughter, Mitzie Ann Davis, June 27, 1999; and a brother Joeddie Davis. Surviving are two sons: Kenneth (Monica) Davis, Gallipolis, OH Tim (Teresa) Davis, Gallipolis, OH Six grandchildren: Jennifer (Michael Johnson) Davis, Columbus, OH Amanda (Larry) Gilmore, Cheshire, OH Michael Davis, Kelly Davis, Kimber Davis and Steven Davis, Gallipolis, OH Great grandchildren: Hunter Johnson and Makenzie Gilmore Two brothers: Richard (Marilyn) Davis, Foster, WV James (Diane) Davis, Langsville, OH Four Sisters: Bonnie (Charles) Huffman, Foster, WV Linda (Donnie) Mantz, Sterling, VA Martha (Hank) Henderson, Spotsylvania, VA Patricia (Bernard) Lacy, Danville, WV and Special Friends: Martha Kasee, Gallipolis, OH Tammy Angel and children, Brittany Angel and Johnathan Sheppard, Gallipolis, OH. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday, 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
