William James Moore, 92, of 1201 East Sandusky Street, Findlay, passed away Monday, June 12, 2006 at 7:20 p.m. at his residence. He was born in Mason County, West Virginia to the late Willie Curtis and Helen (Wood) Moore. In 1937, he married Helen Page; he later married Violet Fitzpatrick and she preceded him in death. Survivors include: four daughters, Jean Anne Wright, Carol (Jerry) Mallett, Barbara (Richard) Deerhake all of Findlay; Kay (Thomas) McGann of Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence of Paris, TN; sister Beatrice (Richard) Dunlop of Westerville, OH. Also preceding him in death are: one grandson; sister, Mrs. Vaughn (Thena) Glassburn; three brothers, Floyd, Otho and Eugene Moore. William retired after thirty-seven years as foreman at the San-A-Pure Dairy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 from 2-5 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. On Thursday, visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Gallipolis, OH where the funeral will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tim Luoma will be officiating. Burial will follow in Addison Cemetery in Gallipolis. Memorials may be made to the William J. Moore Fund of the Findlay-Hancock Community Foundation, 101 West Sandusky Street, Suite 207, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The purpose of the fund is to support Mr. Moore's interest in helping youth and is designated to support recreational activities for youth in Hancock County, particularly hunting and fishing.
