John Vinson Earl, 57, Gallipolis, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1949, son of the late William Vickers Earl and Hazel Elizabeth Meddings. A Vietnam Era Air Force Veteran, John was a member of Gallia County Amvets Post #23 and the Gallia County DAV Chapter #141, Gallipolis. John volunteered much of his time to: Toys for Tots for over 30 years; Outreach; Spruce St. Food Pantry; and helped with food distribution to the needy of Gallia County.

He is survived by:

Rev. William V. (Gloria) Earl Jr., Huntington, WV

James Earl, Huntington, WV

Clinton (Linda) Earl, Gallipolis, OH

One Sister:

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, September 29, 2006, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, 420 First Ave., Gallipolis with Rev. William V. Earl Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends may call at the Funeral Home 11:00 A.M., Friday, one hour prior to service. Condolences can be emailed to www.timeformemory.com/mm.

My husband Ernie and I are so sorry for your loss Mr Earl was a very nice and fine man. We didn't know him very well, but we live in the same building. We were just beginning to get to know him and liked him very much. Again please accept our condolences. Ernie and Gracie
