LAURENE BRYANT BECKETT
Mrs. Laurene Bryant Beckett age 80 passed away at her home in Winter Park, Florida Friday, September 30, 2005.
She was born in Montgomery Alabama October 18, 1924 . she settled in Winter Park, Florida in February 1966. Retired from civil service with the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C. She worked at the Naval Training Center in Orlanda and the registrar’s office at FTU. Now known as the University of Central Florida. She was an avid genealogist, wrote a book on her Bryant family history and enjoyed gardening in her spare time.
She is survived by her three children Bruce Beckett of Monroe, GA. Bonnie Beckett of Winter Park, FL. and Judy Beckett of Atlanta, GA. and two grandchildren, Jennifer Robertson of Orlando, FL. and Alysha Beckett of Atlanta, GA. Sister Ellie Bryant of Bowdon, GA,
Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, October 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Bowdon City Cemetery with Rev. Darryl Hessel officiating. Interment was in the Bowdon City Cemetery.
Rainwater Funeral Home of Bowdon, Georgia was in charge of the arrangements.
