Mr. Tildon H. Gibbs age 79 of 2455 Oak Grove Church Road, Carrollton, Georgia formerly of Ranburne, Alabama died Monday January 16, 2006.
He was born in Cleburne County Alabama March 17, 1926 the son of the late Boss and Dessie Smith Gibbs. He was a retired farmer and was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Gibbs in 1978.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Mark (Karen) Gibbs, Ranburne, AL. 2 grandchildren Cole Gibbs and Haley Gibbs both of Ranburne, AL. 2 sisters Ira Nell Crosson, Ranburne, Al and Jeanette Poole, Anniston, AL.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 18, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. (Alabama Time) from the Corinth Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Leonard Robinson officiating. Selective music will be rendered. Pallbearers will be Mack Crosson, Cole Gibbs, Lamar Smith, Mack Ledbetter, Pete Jackson and Randall Jackson. Interment will be in the church cemetery with Rev. J. Marcus Merritt in charge of graveside services. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5-9 P.M.
