.Mrs. Essie Mae Pollard age 98 of 37 Pollard Street, Ranburne, Alabama died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 in Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center, Anniston, Alabama.
She was born in Cleburne County Alabama February 24, 1907 the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Stamps Richardson. She was the oldest member of Ranburne First Baptist Church and was also known by her family and friends by (Ma Pollard) and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Euell Pollard and a great-grandson Nichlos Turner.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-laws Junior Pollard of Ranburne, AL. Jerry Lee (Malene) Pollard of Ranburne, AL. Robert (Elaine) Pollard of Cartersville, GA. and Billy and (Francis) Pollard of Ranburne, AL. 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters Leo Baughn of Birmingham, AL. and Hattie Teague of Carrollton, GA.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. (Alabama Time) from the Ranburne First Baptist Church with Rev. James Benefield and Rev. Kit Carson officiating. Music will be furnished by the Gibbs Family, Johnny Cofield and Sara Smith. Pallbearers will be Donnie Pollard, Keith Pollard, Mike Pollard, Edward Pollard, Dennis Pollard and Jason Pollard. Interment will follow in the Ranburne Cemetery. She will be at the funeral home until being placed in state at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
