Mr. Lloyd M. Huddleston age 80 of 4005 South Highway 100, Bowdon, Georgia died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at his residence.
He was born in Randolph County Alabama May 29, 1925 the son of the late Joel David and Martha Frances Moore Huddleston. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church which he joined in the summer of 1944 and was ordained as a Deacon August 25, 1951 He was retired owner of Sardis Grocery and was a retired employee of General Motors for 34 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by granddaughter Onedia Lynn Haehnlein, Brothers Will, Robert and Dorsey Huddleston. Sisters Elsie Wilder and Opal Huddleston.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Catherine Cummings Huddleston, Bowdon, GA. Son Kenneth Huddleston, Bowdon, GA. Daughters and Sons-in-Laws Evelyn (Ken) Hughes and Peggy (Norman) Warren all of Bowdon, GA. Grandchildren Danny (Michelle) Huddleston, Randy (Kelli) Haehnlein, Tim (Kim) Haehnlein and Katie (Edward) Bryant. Great-Grandchildren Mallory and Brady Huddleston, Ashleigh, T.J., Ryan and Taylor Haehnlein, Kaitlyn and Emily Bryant. Sister Marie Kent. Brother Clarence (Shirley) Huddleston Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Darnell Teal, Rev. Danny Murray and Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating. Music will be furnished by the church choir under the direction of Rev. Jimmy Palmer. Pallbearers will be Randy Haehnlein, Tim Haehnlein, Danny Huddleston, Chris Haehnlein, Edward Bryant and Larry Rowland. Interment will be in the Sardis Cemetery with Rev. Roy Wysner in charge of graveside services. He will be at the funeral home until being placed in state at the church at 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
