MRS. EVELYN BUTLER
Mrs. Evelyn Butler age 94 of 921 Old Newnan Road, Carrollton, Georgia formerly of Bowdon, Georgia died Friday December 30, 2005.
She was born in Carroll County Georgia July 16, 1911 the daughter of the late Herman J. and Nancy E. Smith Reaves. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bowdon a retired Dietician for Carroll County Board of Education.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lewis Butler. Daughter Nancy Butler Crowell Five brothers Lent Reaves, Herman Reaves, Bob Reaves, Bradley Reaves and Elliott Reaves, three sisters Nell Jenkins, Will Copeland and Mina Prince.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Elliott “Peanut” (Karen) Butler of Loganville, GA. three grandsons Zack Butler of Mableton, GA. Seth Butler of Nashville, TN. and Ned Butler of Loganville, GA. three great-grandchildren Sydney Butler, Madeline Butler and Hope Butler.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday January 1, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. from the First United Methodist Church of Bowdon with Rev. Darryl Hessel officiating. Music will be furnished by the church choir. Interment services will follow in the Bowdon City Cemetery. She will be at the funeral home until being placed in state at the church at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday December 31st from 4-8 p.m.
