 Darlene Frances Childers, 78, of Branchland, WV, passed away January 26, 2024. She was born February 14, 1945, in Barboursville, WV, daughter of the late George H. Bowen and Alice Porter Bowen. She was also preceded in death by her siblings George Lindell Bowen, Mary Catherine Bowen, Marjorie Lucy Bowen Lucas, Lemuel Newton “Sonny” Bowen, Bonnie Lou Bowen Petry, and Geneva Zina “Turtle” Bowen Burgess. She is survived by her husband Donald Childers; one daughter Trena Siebenaler (Tom) of Hastings, MN; two sons Michael Childers of Burlington, OH and Phillip Childers of Branchland; one sister Mary Romaine Wantowski of Branchland; sister-in-law, Allene Maynard of Huntington; special nephew Dennis Burgess; grandchildren Abby Siebenaler, Thomas Siebenaler, Sara Siebenaler, Elson Cayden Childers, and Brendan Dillon. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Chris Fulks and Pastor Jeff Sizemore. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. |
