Betty Lois Chapman, 88, of Salt Rock, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at her residence. She was born May 8, 1935 in Milton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lee and Mary Johnson Vititoe. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Chapman and by one grandson, Jeffery Meadows. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Meadows (Daniel); two sons, Daniel Chapman (Leslie) and Jack Chapman (Teresa); one brother, Harold David Vititoe; four grandchildren, James Chapman (Haley), Mary Barns (Nick Toland), Emily Chapman (Chris Sanders) and Laura Chapman; three great-grandchildren, Elijah Toland, Liam Samson and Noah Bowens. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Susannah Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, W.Va. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Susannah Missionary Baptist Church. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville is assisting the family with arrangements.
