Sue lived a full and vivacious life, being a worldwide traveler, avid reader, making crafts, quilts, member of organizations such as Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hatters, Lady of the Moose, Docent of Blennerhassett Island and much more. She loved her family, pets and most of all, she was a strong Christian and active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Mineral Wells, WV and later, Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church of Barboursville, WV. Sue was loved by many and will be missed dearly. We believe heaven must have become a brighter and maybe even a funnier place when Sue moved her residence there this week ... but oh, how we are going to miss her here! For many years we have been blessed with her joyful spirit, her wonderful sense of humor, and her compassionate heart. Even when she got where she could not do as much physically, she was still a joy to visit because you knew you were going to be greeted by her warm smile, sincere welcome, and a genuine interest in how you were doing.
It is sad enough to lose one of your favorite friends of many years...but it makes it even a little sadder when you realize you are not going to be here to go to her funeral. Teresa, we have been scheduled to leave on the family trip we take every other year on sunday morning...and because we are traveling with Craig and his family, we don't have the flexibility to move things around that we did when we were still going on our own. I am so sorry that we are not going to be able to be there in person Sunday afternoon... but please know that we will be there with you in spirit, thought and prayers (and will be long after it is over, too).
With Our Love Now and Always,
Don & Becky & All the Haddoxes
