JAMES “JIM” EDWIN QUEEN, 86, of Milton, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 28, 2024. He was born on January 11, 1938, in Milton, WV to the late Owen Queen, Sr., and Lennie Mae (Murrell) Queen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Owen Queen, Jr. and Dorothy Gene Fisher. He graduated from Milton High School in 1955. He excelled in sports where he was voted Most Athletic by his classmates. After graduating, he worked at Blenko Glass for a brief time. Then he was employed with INCO Alloys (Special Metals) where he continued to play sports for the company’s baseball and basketball teams. He retired from INCO after 34 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed spending the winter months in FL playing softball and volleyball. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Scarberry (Rob), Marsha Queen (Scott), and Lynette Queen, all from Milton; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Brittany, Cory, Dustin, Blake, and Brandon; one great-grandchild, Onna. He is also survived by his brothers Bill Queen (Charlotte), John Queen (Tammi), and his sisters, Mary Lou Craddock, Birdie McCoy, Dodie Lundsford, and Jane Cleghon (John); a special nephew, Billy, and many more nieces and nephews. Jim’s Celebration of Life will be held privately by his family. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, is assisting with arrangements.
